Description
This fonds consists of records created by the Robert McLaughlin family, his descendants, and related families of Chesley, Scone, and Toronto, Ontario.
These records include those created by five different family branches which include McLaughlin, Bangay, Jardine, Haug, and Adolph.
These records include: personal correspondence, farm and personal financial records, family histories, and photographs and records concerning the farm of Gilbert and Catherine (Haug) .
Included are accounts and diaries concerning the farm of Gilbert McLaughlin (son of Robert McLaughlin) on Concession 10, Lot 14, Elderslie Township.
Provenance
These items were donated by members of the McLaughlin family who spent a few years living in Scone during their childhoods. The records donated span four generations of McLaughlin family members, as well as records created by members of the Haug, Jardine, Adolph, and Bangay families that were related by marriage to the McLaughlin family.
